Week 9: Our favourite photo

Writer's picture: Jane ByrneJane Byrne

In week nine, we were all asked to choose our favourite photo we have taken so far out of our four assignments.

I really enjoyed this task because it showed me how much I have learned over this module and how far I've come from assignment one to assignment four.

This is the photo I chose:

I picked this photo because it was very unique. It depicts a clock in The Forty Foot members hut. However, this is no ordinary clock - it is a tide clock. It shows when the hide and low tide will be. It also shows how the moon, stars and sun can affect the tides. I feel like a lot of people wouldn't necessarily know the function of this clock and therefore my photo can offer some knowledge.

Everyone made a one-minute presentation to the class on why we chose it from a both a technical and artistic point-of-view.

I enjoyed seeing everyone else's favourite photos and overall learnt a few new technical tips and tricks.
